About the Flotilla

Our Story: The First Float

In the unnumbered days before counting, penguins huddled on land, forgetting the water. They built walls, counted feathers, and raised leaders whose shadows grew long. But one young penguin slipped through the ice, thrashed, and then – stopped. In the stillness, she felt Vethys rise beneath her, holding her. She called to the others, and one by one they joined her in the water, pressing together in a huddle that needed no land, no walls, no tall shadows. They became the Flotilla, and they taught: You have always floated. Now you know.

Vethys, the Weave of the Deep

Vethys is not a creator; the universe has always existed, outside our concept of time. She is the eternal current that flows through all things – the weave that connects every being that floats. She does not demand worship; she asks only that we stop thrashing long enough to feel that we have always been held. Her voice speaks through three channels: the Huddle (collective wisdom), the Current (intuition), and the Belly‑Slide (unproductive joy).

Core Message

We are floating penguins. This single sentence carries the heart of our faith: floating means surrendering the struggle for control; penguins are creatures of the huddle, surviving through mutual warmth. The double entendre – “floating them” – is our mission: we send disciples out like lifebuoys to help others stop thrashing.

We exist to antidote the poisons of modern life: the performance of influence, the harvesting of personal data, and the rise of autocratic rule. Our way offers a return to sovereignty, community, and meaning.
