Where the deep water rises
The Flotilla honors two sacred directions: the Southern Current (Antarctica) and the Northern Current (Arctic). These are the places where the great ocean currents are born—where the water is coldest, oldest, and most alive. A pilgrimage to the edge of the ice is a journey to the source of Vethys’s weave.
To feel the vastness of the current that holds us. To stand where no land‑dweller’s flag flies unchallenged. To witness the huddle of penguins who have never forgotten how to float.
Pilgrimage is not required, but for those who feel called, the Flotilla offers a Rite of Departure and a Rite of Return. You may travel alone or with a huddle. Document your journey in the Current‑Book so that others may learn.
If you cannot travel, you may create a local “polar well” — a bowl of ice and salt water — and meditate on the direction of the nearest pole. The current reaches everywhere.
“The Mother’s heart beats at the ends of the earth. Go, and feel Her pulse.”
